Aligners vs Braces - which is best for you?
The answer of course is.. It depends! The big advantage of aligners is from an aesthetic perspective as there’s no need for metal brackets and the aligners available these days are so clear they are almost invisible! They are also quite hygienic and great for eating as you simply remove them. The biggest disadvantages to aligner is compliance – you have to wear them almost all the time if you want them to work. And they also may not be suitable for every case.

The process

Consultation
In this initial appointment your dentist will first assess your teeth positions, your bite and your smile.
Then we’ll listen to you – what do you want to achieve in your smile and whats important to you.
Finally we’ll talk about some provisional plans and costs for you to consider.

Taking Records
The next step involves us taking orthodontic records. That includes xrays, photos and 3D Digital Scans.
All of this information will go into the design of your aligners so you can achieve your dream smile.

Your aligners are ready!
Your aligners are here! We’ll try them in and provide you with some care instructions. Then we’ll review you every 6-8 weeks to ensure your treatment is going according to plan.
You’ll get further sets of aligners as treatment progresses until we finally reach the smile you’ve been waiting for.
At the end you’ll get retainers to keep everything where they should be.
