which is best for you?
Orthodontic braces are a fantastic way to improve your smile and straighten crooked teeth. In fact they are normally the most popular way to treat children orthodontically and usually the most economical. Braces are also used for adults, especially on more challenging and severe cases.
The answer of course is.. It depends! The big advantages of braces is that they are more affordable, can treat a wider range of cases and as they are ‘glued’ onto your teeth compliance is assured – unlike aligners can be removed and often not used (especially by kids!).
The disadvantages of braces is normally aesthetics- they are visible so sometimes adults prefer more invisible aligners. They also require good oral hygiene to ensure your teeth and gums stay healthy during treatment.
The most important thing is unlike clinics that can only do aligners, we will give you every option and recommend which we think is best for YOU!
The process

Consultation
In this initial appointment your dentist will first assess your teeth positions, your bite and your smile.
Then we’ll listen to you – what do you want to achieve in your smile and whats important to you.
Finally we’ll talk about some provisional plans and costs for you to consider.

Taking Records
The next step involves us taking orthodontic records. That includes xrays, photos and 3D Digital Scans.
In some cases we may recommend orthodontic extractions or other options if there is a significant lack of room in your mouth.

Its Braces Time
Its the big day! We carefully bond orthodontic brackets on your teeth and provide you with clear instructions to look after them.
You will then return to our clinic every 6-8 weeks for orthodontic adjustments until we achieve your dream smile.
At the end you’ll get retainers to keep everything where they should be
